I’ve got a build of 4.8.6 I did quite a while back. It’s a universal binary (frameworks, x86 and x86_64). I don’t recall exactly what args I passed into “configure”…
It seems that both the 32- and 64-bit parts must have both been configured/built Cocoa — you cannot build 64-bit with Carbon, and I think you can’t make a universal binary with a 32-bit Carbon and 64-bit Cocoa mixed, right? If it is possible to do so, how can I tell if I did this?
